This case study highlights "The Night Stitcher," a high-end series custom-designed for premium Halloween retailers and professional haunt attractions. Our goal was to bridge the gap between "costume accessory" and "movie-grade prosthetic," delivering an immersive experience for the end user.

2. Design Challenges & Solutions

• Overcoming the "Plastic" Look

  • Challenge: Standard mass-produced latex masks often have a shiny, artificial finish that ruins immersion.

  • Solution: We implemented a multi-layering painting technique using specialized flexible glazes. By layering tones and adding hand-painted capillary details, we achieved a hyper-realistic "living skin" texture that reacts naturally to light.

• Balancing Realism with Functionality

  • Challenge: Detailed masks often suffer from poor ventilation and limited visibility, making them impractical for long events.

  • Solution: Through ergonomic 3D modeling, we integrated "invisible" airflow channels within the facial folds and tear ducts. This allows for superior breathability and a wide field of vision without breaking the visual silhouette of the character.
